Fighting transphobia in Poland

Research shows that approximately 70% of LGBT people in Poland have experienced violence. Research also shows that transgender people are the most common victims. Lack of knowledge and proper sexual education contributes to the growth of intolerance towards non-heteronormative people. That is why it is so important to create social campaigns that debunk myths and stereotypes and make society aware that we are all equal. Transgender Visibility Day is celebrated around the world on March 31; we also celebrate it in Poland: here are a series of videos in which transgender people tell their life stories, as part of the KPH (Campaign Against Homophobia): link.

Let’s all join the campaign by using the hashtag #JestemPniemTransfobii
