Rainbow zebra crossing  in Herzele

At our school gates we had to wait for it a little longer, but just like in many other Belgian towns, the municipality of Herzele now has its own ‘rainbow zebra crossing’ — right in front of the town hall door, and clearly visible for all visitors.

“With this rainbow zebra crossing in front of the town hall, we as a local government want to draw more attention to diversity and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and visualise our LGBTQ+ policy”, said alderman Ronny Herremans.
