Abolition of LGBTQ+ zones
AllInc’s Justyna updates us on a recent legislative change in Poland — dziękuję Justyno!
Local governments in Poland that adopted resolutions against ‘LGBT ideology’ in 2019 and 2020 are likely to start the process of reversing their decisions after the suspension of EU funding has been announced. Such a process has already been started by one of the districts of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, whose councillors almost unanimously adopted a resolution in 2019 and also almost unanimously withdrew it on 26 January 2023. So far, resolutions against ‘LGBT ideology’ are in force in 53 local government units, which corresponds to almost a third of Poland’s territory.
